Shepherd’s Huts

Cosy accommodation on the edge of the re-wilding area

Why not come and stay with us in one of our beautiful Shepherds huts, or camp in one of our meadows. Situated on the edge of our re-wilding area, you will have the chance to glimpse our ‘re-wilding helpers’ such as heck cattle, wild pigs, mouflon sheep and Exmoor ponies with a beautiful backdrop of Dartmoor.

Take part in our specialist activities such as guided tours of the re-wilding area, animal encounters, an evening beaver watching or a discussion evening with our ecologists.  Additionally, spend the day relaxing enjoying the view, or enjoy one of the many other activities the area has to offer.

In the evening, relax around the camp fire, or in our social hub where you can meet like-minded people for a chat and a glass of your favourite tipple.

Our customised shepherd huts provide a beautiful and cosy base for your stay with us. Each shepherd hut contains a double bed (bedding provided) that doubles up as a seating area with a table.

Shepherd huts are available from mid-May to mid-October. We offer 3 holiday options:

  • Week long (Friday to Friday) £100 per night
  • Mid-week stay (Wednesday to Friday) £100 per night
  • Weekend stay (Friday to Sunday or Monday) £120 per night
