Unique opportunities to enhance your stay with us

We hope that your stay at Coombeshead will be an unforgettable experience. To make the most of your stay, why not book onto one of our tours? Tours operate between May and September inclusively.  These tours can be booked on the accommodation page, or you can book at the office during your stay.

For those not staying with us please book using the button below.

WILD WALK

This is a guided walk through our rewilding area. Bring your boots,  binoculars and soak in the sights and sounds of the returning wildlife. Gain a greater connection to Nature.  Walks happen May to September on Thursdays and Saturdays at 11am.

BEAVER WATCHING

Pass a couple of hours as night falls in our well established wetland habitat where you can view our iconic landscape engineers at work. Beaver Watches  happen May to September on Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.15pm.

ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS

This tour introduces you to the species we have at our Species Recovery Centre. Our animals are here for a variety of reasons such as captive breeding programmes and filming. This guided tour will introduce you to a range of native wildlife from water voles and wildcats to white storks and adders (and more!)

SELF GUIDED TOURS

While you are with us why not visit our Rewilding Garden to see and learn how nature recovery can be kick started in smaller areas.  If you are feeling energetic try one of our self guided rewilding walks, The Upcott Trails, guide booklets are available from the site office or in your welcome pack.

FILM & PHOTOGRAPHY

Our site offers a unique opportunity to film and photograph a broad range of incredibly rare and charismatic species in a controlled environment. With expert animal handlers and built sets you can create the shot that sets you head and shoulders above the rest. From professional crews to individual enthusiasts, we endeavour to help you create magical moments.

WORKSHOPS

We are offering a wide variety of workshops from learning how to bring back nature, into your garden or at landscape scale.
