Beaver Watching

Our iconic residents…

Wetland engineers

Come on this evening walk to catch a sight of one of our iconic residents – the Eurasian beaver. Our guide will take you to the viewing points where we hope to catch a glimpse of these elusive animals. You will learn about the ecology of the beaver, how and why it has engineered the wetlands at Coombeshead, and what the introduction of the species means to the rewilding project at our centre.

This tour will run on Wednesday and Friday evenings, beginning around 7pm (depending on time of year, check the notice boards) and lasting approximately 2.5 hours. The meeting point for the start and end of the tour will be at the site office in the camping field. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start.

This tour involves a gentle walk to our beaver hide. Some areas will be muddy so please wear suitable footwear and warm clothes.

Price Per Person £28

NOTE: Please note that we cannot guarantee you will see the wildlife you want to see on any of our tours, as nature is very unpredictable! However, we are confident that you will have an enjoyable experience on your tour with us, come rain or shine!
