An evening of discovery…
Listen and learn
our ecoloigstOur aim at Coombeshead is to give you a memorable wildlife experience. Whether you are interested in rewilding your own garden, learning about British wildlife, or just immersing yourself in stories told by passionate conservationists we hope our Nature Nights will enhance your stay with us.
These will take place every Saturday from 7pm (times may change relating to activity or season) at the communal barn area. Spend an evening of discovery as we invite you to learn all about the wildlife on site. Try your hand at identifying moths and other invertebrates on our moth trapping evenings, or learn how to identify our bat species as we go on a short bat walk at dusk or look for displaying amphibians in our ponds. Additionally, spend a cosy evening around the fire listening to our on site ecologists tell you about glow worm breeding projects, wild cat re-introductions, and other conservation projects they are involved with across the globe. Other guest speakers are planned throughout the year so please check our information board in the communal area on arrival.
